If you still have questions about mediation or how we work, let us know below and we’d be happy to talk further.

FAQs

  • Mediation is the only tool in the claims management process that can actually close a claim. Other tools can be useful for posturing a claim for closure, but mediation is the only tool that can bring a claim to closure.

  • We mediate state and federal workers comp claims, Tort claims, DBA, and Longshore cases.

  • The quickest way to get on our calendar is to fill out our scheduling form. We schedule on a first-come-first-serve basis and fill up quickly, so the more information you have ready at the time of your inquiry, the better!

  • We operate under a fixed pricing model and have two prices: resolved and unresolved. The defense typically pays for the mediation unless parties negotiate otherwise. Our prices are not based on time but on results, so no matter how long it takes, the price is the same.

  • Our facility, Claris Pointe, was designed to help make all parties as comfortable as possible in the midst of a potentially uncomfortable process. It’s hard to get people to make big decisions when they’re uncomfortable, which is why we believe our offices facilitate resolution quickly and effectively.

  • One of our mediators would be happy to discuss this with you. Please call or email our office to get in touch. It can never hurt to ask!

  • Mediation day at our office is a breeze! Upon arrival, parties are shown to their rooms with recliners, WiFi, smart TVs, snacks and drinks, and lunch is catered daily for all mediation participants. You will meet your mediator, and he/she will go between rooms to help all parties reach an agreement in a caring and respectful manner.
